The renowned Dubai World Cup returned again on the 26th March 2011 and was held at the Meydan Racecourse for only its second year. The track which played host to the richest race day in the world signalled a new level of luxury and decadence to the sport’s global history.  At 1.2 km long and accommodating 60,000 race goers at the state of the art race track, the grandstand is one of the largest in the world.

For the first time since 1996, a Japanese horse named Victoire Pisaridden ridden by Italian jockey Mirco Demuro obtained first prize in this prestigious event and won the World Cup Trophy along with $10 million.  After this victory, he is now established at world level.  Transcend took second place with Monterosso finishing in 3rd.

Broadcast RF were ever present at the Meydan Racecourse to capture the excitement. As last year, we supplied more than 15 HD systems, both Link & Gigawave.  The systems varied from standard hand held wireless camera systems to the most complex of tracking vehicle and helicopter HD RF equipment.

Our expert engineers were on hand to rig and install the systems so the customer had no worries when it came to the RF cameras working.
