Munster became kings of Europe of the second time in their history when the narrowly beat Toulouse 16-13 in Europe’s showpiece Rugby union final in Cardiff.
Munster went in at half time, 10-6 up after one converted try and a penalty from the Irish and one penalty and a drop goal from the French.
Ronan O’Gara put Munster a further three points ahead just after the break and Toulouse levelled up with a try and conversion. Sixty-five minutes into the game, Munster get a penalty, O’Gara steps up and scores to increase their lead by another three points. Muster managed to hold on for the last fifteen minutes despite Toulouse’s vain efforts to regain the lead. The match finished at 16-3 and Munster once again lift the Heineken Cup.
Last year saw the first Sky coverage of the Heineken Cup final in HD. Telegenic who facilitate the OB provided Broadcast RF with their Philips LDK6000 HD cameras to mount the RF links onto. Despite last years early design, the HD Radio Camera was rather back heavy and quite long. This year, Broadcast RF introduced their specially designed RF back for the Philips LDK6000.
Broadcast RF now have the ability to provide up to six HD RF link complete with camera control, all in one package the same size and weight of a conventional triax back camera. The lightweight and versatile HD camera package has become very popular among camera operators throughout the world.
