15 venues all over the UK saw Phil Taylor win the league by just the one point and sealed play off victory in Cardiff on Bank Holiday Monday by beating James Wade 16-8 in the final claiming his forth successive Premier League Darts title.

Taylor produced a Premier League record average of 112.68 in the routing of Adrian Lewis 11-1 in the semi-finals, before seeing off world number three James Wade in the decider to claim the £100,000 (€125,621) winner's cheque.

The digital radio cameras primary role was to bring the players onto the ocky and since live Darts is a very audience participation driven sport, the sponsors relied on the digital radio cameras to offer crowd shots while the game was in play.

The television coverage always had cameras leading the players into the arena and crowd based cameras, but they have commonly been cabled.  The wireless cameras we supplied provided the cameramen freedom to roam around the venue and gave the director complete confidence to take the shot live whenever they wanted it.

Overall a successful season of Premier Darts has been completed.  Roll on 2009 and possibly Darts going HD…….
