Broadcast RF were again deployed to return to Mumbai for the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon on the 21st February 2007. Once again Broadcast RF proved that experience and knowledge were beneficial giving the organisers even more than they expected. Having supplied RF equipment for the previous three years, it was imperative that the performance of the three bikes and wescam links were improved.
It goes without saying that the links were enhanced in the 2007 race. Broadcast RF used their new helicopter relay installations specially designed for the Doha Asian Games in December of last year. Once again the technology was proven to be the best around.
Peter Mills (Freelance) Chief Engineer stated
“Without this technology, we simply couldn’t have done what the Indian organisers wanted. They expected clean pictures across a very tough terrain. Of course there was going to be break up – but there wasn’t. I was amazed at the ability of the new RF links and power amplifiers. Broadcast RF have definitely broken boundaries on this one”
