Seven Gigawave D-Cam systems were used at this years ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup which saw India bring home the title.
India won the inaugural World Twenty20 in South Africa after a thrilling final in which arch-rivals Pakistan fell five runs short of their victory target of 158 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
Two D-Cams operated at each of the three venues in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. The D-Cam’s were deployed for the interviews and live match coverage for the duration of the games.
One D-Cam was rigged on a FlyCAM system which operated in the main venue which was Johannesburg.
Broadcast RF supplied, installed and operated these RF systems with their expert RF crew.
Saeed Izadi from Broadcast Solutions, Asia commented on the performance of the D-Cam’s.
“The D-Cams and the Broadcast RF crew performed as expected. I wouldn’t ever expect any less of them really. The director and client were over the moon with the radio cameras. We never fail to impress when Broadcast RF are involved. The competitive price and expert engineering give me no choice but to pick Broadcast RF every time. I am always the winner.”
