horse race meeting – The Dubai World Cup at the Nad Al Sheba race course.
Last year saw the starts cameras being linked back with Dubai TV’s analogue equipment but this year, even the starts/stalls POV camera were linked back digitally, using Gigawaves MTV-D Transmitters.
All of the equipment Broadcast RF supplied to Dubai TV was exclusively Gigawave, to compliment Dubai TV’s range of Gigawave Clip-On & D-Cam radio cameras.
To give an aerial view from a helicopter on the race, Broadcast RF supplied a low delay digital helicopter downlink. The system used produced the best results ever. The only time the link failed was when the helicopters actuator was retracted when landing.
An Aerial Camera Systems tracker vehicle was supplied complete with 2 x Gyro Stabilised cameras on board. These were both linked back via Broadcast RF’s digital links with MRC Diversity.
As part of and the deal with Dubai TV, the Broadcast RF engineer wired up all of the racks, matrix’s, and synchronisers for all incoming and outgoing sources. These included Visions, Dubai TV World feed/ABC.
Broadcast RF also provided NEP Visions with three D-Cam systems for the worldwide coverage of the event. It goes without saying that the D-Cam performed as normal with fantastic results
