Le Mans Series - Silverstone
On Board Cameras, Up / Down Links, Pit Lane Radio Cameras
The Le Mans Series has arrived in England, and we have welcomed it with our traditional English weather! The job started well where Broadcast RF supplied 4 uplinks from the racing cars and used an Augusta A109 as a midpoint helicopter. We then linked the 4 onboard cameras down 2 digital links from the helicopter. The rig days were very hot and had beautiful weather and all was set for a fantastic race at Silverstone. When Saturday came, so did the rain! This caused all sorts of trouble for the organisers, but the race went on.
2 x Digital Radio Cameras were also supplied for the Pit Lane Coverage which of course worked with no problems at all. The end user and the client were very satisfied as they have been when we have been supplying RF links for most of the Le Mans series events.
